Maine's coastline may only measure 250 miles from one end to the other.
But measuring the actual waterline (beaches, promontories, bays, and etcetera) there are more than 3,500 miles of shore.
When the 6,200 islands islands are included, there is an estimated 5,500 miles of coastline.
There is plenty to explore, that's for sure!
Although these beaches have been reported to have sea glass, NOT ALL HAVE BEEN VERIFIED. Please don't plan an expensive vacation based solely on an unverified beach! Please do help everyone out by accurately reporting your best beaches for sea glass. (Click here for "How to Grade Sea Glass")

Thanks so much for sending in your beach report.
All reports, good or bad, are a great help when a person does not know where to go.
Reports with photos are by far the best - in this case "seeing is believing."
NOTE: Reports without photos must be posted to the Facebook comments below or to the page most related to the beach you are reporting (see the list of beaches above).
Think about what you would like to know before traveling to new beach. Then include that information.
For example, for Lin, it is very important to get a good cup of coffee before hitting a beach in the early morning (and a report including where to get coffee would be very much appreciated by her :).
We appreciate ALL reports. However, reports that are very incomplete will not be posted.
Include your email address when done - it is never shared with anyone and does not get posted. But if we delete your report or need more information, that is the only way we can get in touch with you.
What you should definitely include:
* Place or beach name.
* Date of your report.
* The location (ie, country, state, province) and nearest town to that beach.
* How long you were there and an approximate amount of beach glass that you found.
* The colors found.
Also as much other information as possible, for example:
* Is it a private beach?
* Is access easy? (for elderly or impaired people for example)
* Are dogs allowed?
* Are there restrooms?
