~ beach report submitted by Christina in Maryland
I went there last week to look for sea glass and actually found almost 80 pieces.
The majority are the typical colors (white, brown and green), but we also found light blue and pale green along with some purple.
We appreciate this and all reports we receive. However, when evaluating a report, use good judgment. Beaches change from tide to tide, from storm to storm, from season to season. A beach where sea glass is never found may on an unusual day reveal quite a bit of glass. On the other hand, a beach known for sea glass may on a certain day produce little or none. That certainly is the case on "good" beaches where we've lived. Some days loads of excellent glass. Many days with some good beach glass. Then there are days when you'd swear the beach does not have any good glass at all. So, be ready to be disappointed... or very pleasantly surprised. ~ Happy hunting, Lin Be sure to scroll down and read the comments from others. Also Note:
In all cases, be sure to review How to Grade Sea Glass in order to determine whether your glass is jewelry grade or not. Thank you to all! View Larger Map |
