Radio Beach, Bimini, Bahamas
We found several pieces that were well rounded and many pieces that were frosted.
The two of us found almost 2 cups of Seaglass of all colors in about 2 hours. I also found a diamond earring in the wate!
We were using the modern Snorkeling gear with full face masks.
Beachcombing for sea glass at Radio Beach in Bimini, Bahamas, is an enchanting experience filled with the beauty of the Caribbean Sea and the thrill of discovering unique treasures pulled in and out by the tides and waves, covered and then uncovered
Radio Beach, named after the old radio transmitter that once stood nearby, boasts soft white sands and crystal-clear turquoise waters, providing the perfect backdrop for sea glass hunting.
As you stroll along the shoreline, keep your eyes peeled for glimmers of color among the sand and rocks. The glass pieces, smoothed and polished by the ocean's currents, come in a variety of hues, including vibrant blues, greens, and browns, as well as rarer colors like red and orange. Each find tells a story of its own, a fragment of glass transformed into a gem by the relentless motion of the waves.
Be sure to visit during low tide when more sea glass is exposed, and consider bringing a mesh bag or bucket to safely collect your discoveries. Remember to respect the beach and its natural environment by leaving only footprints and taking only memories (and maybe a few pieces of sea glass) with you. Whether you're a seasoned collector or a first-time beachcomber, Radio Beach promises a memorable and rewarding adventure.
