This is a great beach!
by: Miles

This is my favorite beach for glass.

I've found many bottle stoppers, glass beads, a decanter stopper and 10 marbles.

The beach is surrounded by large and muddy cliffs, which keeps most people localized in just two areas.

The beach gets flooded during portions of the day and during storms, so many people do not venture outside a couple areas.

I live minutes from this beach and am there every couple days, so I can assure you the comment about gang activity and shady people is anecdotal, at best.

Most of the people that visit are kids, families and hikers. The surrounding area is a very nice neighborhood in a great town.

The best part about this beach are the muddy cliffs which trickle down water to the lake.

This water carries with it various dissolved minerals and silt. The water runs across and through plant matter which, through calcification, turns the plants into a stone-like material.

You can find many very young fossils, as well as glass that has been calcified, then subsequently beach tumbled.

These beach-tumbled pieces of glass with calcification are quite rare to find, and these cliffs are a mass of calcification being eroded by the beach.
