Glass stopper or?

From a Beach in CT on a nice warm September day.


Couldnt believe it was in plain site. First thought it was plastic

I took the photos with an iphone 7s

What tips or suggestions do you have for other photographers?

Really no tips except always check everything even if you think it's nothing. That's how I found this beautiful little treasure.

It is so small as you can see in my picture but it made the seaglass hunting all worth it.

I think it could be a stopper/applicator from a perfume bottle. My mother had one on her dressing table from as far back as I remember and it looked just like this!

 From neon sign?

It is possible that this piece is from a neon sign. Glass was used to mount some of the parts.

On the other hand, it may be some type of stopper. If anyone has ideas or, even better, photos of simlar objects, please comment here.
