WINNER!
Where was this photo taken?
I found this gorgeous piece of glass a couple of weeks back (early February), when I was out on an early morning beach hunt, near Edinburgh, Scotland.
Weather and time of day?
It was a crisp, frosty morning and thankfully there was no-one else about as I was wearing my husband's thermals, my son's bobble hat, my daughter's gloves, several layers of socks, wellies and my late father' extra large waterproof jacket to top the look off.
What were your feelings or impressions when taking this photo?
I couldn't believe my luck, when I discovered this piece of sea glass.
Firstly, I have never found such a perfect square before and secondly I couldn't believe the gorgeous landscape that was held within its frame. Billowing white clouds, a slash of rich orange land, it even has a tree emerging from a lush green field.
When I brought it home, even my husband was delighted, as he noted that it was in the colors of his Irish homeland, white orange and green.
What kind of camera and/or lens did you use?
I took this photo on my return home using my Samsung Galaxy mobile phone. I was terrified to take it out to photograph it at the beach, in case I lost it!!
What tips do you have for taking good photos of sea glass?
As for photography tips: live somewhere sunny if you want to photograph sea glass regularly, as it only truly comes alive when the sun shines.
