Rating: Poor
We walked up and down the beach for a couple of hours and only found 2 pieces of sea glass.
A small green piece and a clear curved piece of a bottle neck, hardly worth the effort.
We went during high tide so I don't know if you would have better luck if you went during a low or minus tide.
There is a ton of tar on this beach, so wear shoes that you don't mind getting ruined.

More Info:
Long sandy beaches that may be ideal for water sports, walking, and family outings are not usually very good for sea glass, as we all know. A lot of California and other coastal states have beaches that are beautifully sandy, but us sea glass addicts don't expect much.
On the other hand, a beach like El Segundo can at any time "cough up" buried nuggets that have been around for a long time.
So, a rating of "poor" for this beach is logical and warns us beforehand that we're likely not going to follow anything of value.
On the other hand, if we're there to enjoy ourselves, might as well look for sea glass! And sometimes even a poor beach will surprise us.
It is good to have reports of beaches, whether they are rated highly or poorly, so we don't get false expectations...but don't stay away from those beaches - some of them may offer more fun time than the richer but more austere sea glass beaches.
