Taken on a sunny day in March, 2014 - Some interesting pieces from today, drying in the sun.

What were your feelings or impressions when taking this photo?

A day well spent at the beach!

What kind of camera and/or lens did you use?

Taken with a Sony Cybershot

What tips do you have for taking good photos of sea glass?

  • Keep your camera safe when taking to the beach.  I cover mine with a zip lock bag, and put it in an over the shoulder carry bag. 

  • Don't take pictures on a windy day.  One grain of sand in your lens can equal disaster!

Much of my sea glass comes from several locations around southern Vancouver Island.

This particular haul comes from a private beach, near Oak Bay.
