Dorset Coast Sea Glass ID?

Found on a Dorset Beach - what is it a fragment of?

Found on a Dorset Beach - what is it a fragment of?

Is this a fragment of Sea Glass and whatever it is, what might it be part of, if anything?

It seems to be opaque.  Hard, black coloured stone-like material.

When dragged on paper it leaves a black mark.

Longest edge is just under the size of a credit card.

Do hope you can help me solve this mystery!

Best Wishes,

Charlotte

Very interesting piece of...? It sure looks like glass but I don't recall any glass that leaves a black rub mark. Perhaps one of expert viewers can add something here.
