Sea glass - was there recently.

A lot of sea glass - white, green, brown and I found a beautiful piece of pottery sea glass that was the jewel for me.

I would say it was a good find for me. I didn't even walk the the entire beach

I've been promising myself for the longest time to go to Coney Island and look for sea glass. I'm sure there are beaches closer to home, but Coney is in Brooklyn, and so am I.

FINALLY,I decided to go and go I did and am so happy. I'm not sure how much of the glass I found qualifies as sea glass, but there are no cutting edges or sharp points, even though they look like it on the perfect brown triangle I found (which is frosty).

But the piece I love the most is a gorgeous turquoise. There are a number of whites, greens (with several variations) and browns. I got so involved that I lost track of how long I had walked and how far (several miles, I assume, and 3-1/2 hours) that I would do it all over again.

There were also a lot of very lovely shells I'd never seen again. I am so excited that I can hardly wait to go again!

 Rare sea glass

Found a beautiful piece of white sea glass with a red etched Chinese symbol etched in red on it, in 2014 or 15. Also found a marble from a 1970s board game.

Wow, classic finds, very unique!!!

I went to Coney Island yesterday expecting to find lots of glass.

Well that's all we found was glass.. not beach glass..they were slightly frosted and the edges were rough.

Not my kind of glass.

Don't waste your time there. Very disappointing.

 Not Frosted, but Plentiful

The sea glass in this area was extremely plentiful!

I went the day after a light thunderstorm and found loads and loads of sea glass!

However, the pieces were not as tumbled as I was expecting, but since it was my first sea glass adventure, I am ecstatic with my finds!

The only main problem was that the beach was very crowded and there were so many kids picking up shells and sea glass too!
