Ontario clear glass with word

July 2017 - found this piece along the shore of Lake Ontario, Canada, at Presquil Provincial Park.


Very little sea glass is found along this shoreline, so I was impressed with this find.

It's about 3/4", clear with the word "OIL" is visible.

Any idea what is might be from and its value?

Thanks Kerry for your comments. I looked up the bottle online and the text font looks very similar. Thanks for the feedback. I find it interesting that you found your glass in CUBA. It seems this remedy might have been popular in many places. Melissa C.

Last fall I found a piece in Cuba that was a part of a Scott's Emulsion cod liver oil medicine bottle. Seems to have been a very popular remedy back in the late 1800's and early 1900's.. Kinda like taking fish oil capsules is today.
