Basse-Terre Guadeloupe Sea glass
Basse-Terre, Guadaloupe
Dec 12, 2017
On a cruise today, docked at Basse-Terre, Guadeloupe, and to the right, immediately at the end of the pier was a trashy looking beach with a bonanza of sea glass. I collected at least 10 pounds! UGH - now, how to get it home!!
I collected all of this in just an hour and a half!! I could have stayed for hours more collecting, as it was everywhere!! Lots of cobalt blue, some reds, many amber, lots of green and clear.
My favorite is the round ball with a base. Not sure what is was originally.
Map:

The commune is at the foot of the Soufrière volcano and is connected to the rest of the island by three main roads:"
