If you have missed him/or her, take a few minutes to look on the nearest beach.
Most of the United States is in an unprecedented heat wave. If you live in the USA, you need to head for the beach. Even if you don't live in the USA, you need to head to the beach.
The beach, whether it be lakeside or seaside, is relaxing. It may be that, being far from your daily grudging tasks, you feel you can take off your shoes, kick back, and take it easy.
More scientifcally, perhaps it's because of the negative ions given off by large bodies of water. Studies show that negative ions generare a sense of wellbeing.
Negative ions = Positive feelings.
