your Odyssey Sea Glass News, Issue #050 - And The Photo Winner Is... May 06, 2011 |
||||
Hi,
Well, we have to say it's a hard choice between the weird, the natural, and the artistic. So in our typical pass-the-buck fashion, Lin and I decided that we are not going to be the judges of these really nice submissions. We are going to let you viewers decide, which we think is only fair. How To Vote? Easy! Pick a Winner You will see the finalists, four of them, below labeled April. Yeah, I know we have fudged around and wasted time. (You'll notice we have a May submission for the contest there too. You can start voting on May as they come up.) But focus on the April Sea Glass Online Photo Contest finalists below. Click on their respective links to see their photo page. At the BOTTOM of that submission page below the notes, you will see a "Like" button, a "Tweet" button, and a "SU" or StumbleUpon button. Click on the one you like the most. You can click one, two, or three of the buttons. The total of clicks of all three buttons will be added up by our Mathematical Statistics Department, who will then advise us of the winner. These votes must be in by MONDAY! Yes, MONDAY the 9th of MAY! Then we will let the winner know (if we can find his/her email address) and will post that photo for almost a full month on our Main Page and other featured pages. If you are the photographer, you can vote once. Of course, get all the friends and family you want to vote for you, too. I mean, who's going to know? The most votes is the WINNER. I must admit, we do have some really artistic photos here... and a photo that some have been having nightmares about. Well, as the sayng goes, "You be the Judge." VOTE SMART, VOTE NOW!
Now that you've voted on the above photos, Lin is breathing a sigh of relief. She always wants all of them to win. She's so compassionate. Me, I don't care which one wins. I'm just indecisive. Well, no one's perfect! OK. Moving on here.
Here is a little reminder to check out the upload features on the fun page, where you can contribute your comments, questions, and photos on what you find at the beach or just about anything to do with beach glass. We invite any of you to share a short story of your beach impressions (funny, sad, or exciting) and get a link to the website or blog of your choice. (To skip right down to the newest blogs, click here) For those of you who have just recently signed up, this newsletter is an update on the new features and changes in the last couple of weeks.
If you have been reading the RSS/Blog, you will already have seen some of these new items... But take a look at the updates below and see if you missed something important. There are also usually some unanswered questions that we'd love to have you answer. Note: If you would like to receive the RSS/Blog feed, click on that "orange button" in the upper left hand corner of the toolbar on each page of Odyssey Sea Glass to subscribe.
