your Odyssey Sea Glass News, Issue #019 -- Slogan? Think! September 14, 2009 |
||
Hello All, Amazingly, we have had nice weather again the past couple of days, actually in the 70's here in the forested hills and glens of the Pacific Trail country (it passes not far from where we live). With the rush of home-goers on the I5 corridor, down from Canada, back through Oregon and Idaho to places south and west, the medley of license plates reads like a travelogue. I was thinking about the heavier swells that will be winding in from the Northern Pacific Ocean later this fall and the upturning of new "stuff" on the beaches. Even though the currents and tides always move a lot of sand, it does seem that more than the usual things turn up after a storm. It would be interesting if it were possible to find out if sea glass could actually be "pushed up" the beach from deeper water...although from what we have seen here at extreme low tides, it just doesn't look to good out there for beach glass. But then,who knows? We'll see in the next couple of months how much things change. Once again, we welcome you readers from around the world to our newsletter. For you who are in South Africa (Goeie dag, hallo), Colombia (Buenos dias), and Vietnam (Chào bạn).
