First experience at searching for sea glass.

We looked on 3 different days and found about 75 pieces.

Colors we found were: frosted white, pale clear turquoise, pale green, one piece of olive green glass, one piece of a milky green glass, a few pieces of clear glass.

Almost all had nice rounded edges, no sharp glass at all.

I hope to go back next year and will know better where to look this time.

I like this article and don't want to sound negative but this photo is showing Lossiemouth EAST beach and not the WEST beach

OK, thanks for catching that - I'll see if I can make that clear in the caption or change it.

Sea glass in Lossiemouth
by: Sue

My son has left Lossiemouth so no more trips to Scotland.

Looking for and finding the sea glass was one of the best times I have ever had in my life.

It now sits on my kitchen window sill so I see it every day.

I'll bequeath it my grand daughter who was born in Aberdeen.

It's more important to me than all of my jewelry.

Winter is better especially after a storm or a really high tide.

Not so much on the sandy beaches, but there's plenty of rocky shores all around the Island.

We always find loads, can come back with bag fulls.

Only a hand full will be jewellery quality, but there is plenty,
