Holly Beach and Cameron Jetty
by: Naomi

I live in Louisiana and have found sea glass at Holly Beach and at Cameron Jetty.

It may not be the best of beaches but if a person lives in this area and wants to search to see what is available, it can be found.

The first piece I found was a white Coca-Cola bottle. Also found was a full size vintage perfume bottle.

Sea Glass at Holly Beach
by: Tina

I visited Holly Beach yesterday, 4/8/14, and found
a lovely piece of sea glass. It's green.

I will be returning to search for more.

Louisiana beach
by: Joe

The beaches near Grand Isle have glass.

Also Lake Pontchartrain has old glass bottles.

None of the beaches that have this are easy to get to.

Go to the most difficult edge and there they are.

Seaglass in Louisiana?
by: Linda

Thanks. Kay-- was hoping to check out some beaches this weekend, but we decided to go fishing out of Hopedale tomorrow instead.

Still a lot of "beach cleaners" around and don't want to make a decision somewhere isnt any good b/c I checked under th wrong circumstances.

This summer I went looking along several Abaco Bahamas beaches, several islands near greater Abaco, and found pretty good number and variety--including a number of pieces of black glass.

Hope to try some places later this fall, and will check out Holly beach--so much depends on where, the tide, the surf at the time--- but that's part of the fun and the mystery!

Thanks for responding!

Holly Beach Louisiana Sea Glass
by: Kay

Hi Linda,

I am a La. native, but live in Longview, Tx. now.

I occasionally go down to Holly Beach (south of Sulphur) when in the area.

There is some sea glass there, but the last time I went which was about 6 wks. ago, didn't find too much.

If you find any glass, it will be the common colors of green, brown & clear.
