~ question on sea glass submitted by Sarah in North Carolina

I am unable to determine where the beach is located in Norfolk, VA near the Naval Air Station where Tracy says she found great sea glass.

Can someone be more specific?

Willoughby beach

This year I've found lots of seaglass, ranging in different sizes and colors. I'm very excited to be finding this here at this beach. The past few years have turned up nothing but I'm stocked that I have a stock pile now.

It's at the North End of the ocean front near Ft. Story and Sandbridge.

Norfolk beaches
by: Seajewels

We just got home from several Norfolk and Virginia Beach beaches (we live in Mathews Co. VA) and found no glass at all. Just the usual pebbles and shells.

It's been this way for about the past year or so; very little beach glass or finds of much significance.

I find some crockery shards on one beach in Mathews Co. but that's about it--lots of plastic junk washing up.

Was disappointed that we found no glass, etc in Norfolk today...low tide and and there had been strong wave action so we thought for sure we'd find something, but nothing....
