Finding Sea Glass in the Caribbean and Bermuda - Exciting!

Are you headed for the Caribbean? Or are you one of the fortunate ones who lives on one of these tropical isles?

If you will be spending some time on any of the Caribbean islands, you will really enjoy searching for sea glass and other beach treasures.

  • The islands of the Caribbean have excellent and accesible beaches for diving.

  • Some of the islands have little or no sea glass while others have excellent spots for finding beach glass.

Where should you look?

Generally, any beaches on those coasts that have a history of being populated will generally produce pretty decent sea glass - unless they are in a deep bay or otherwise protected.

Be sure though to look at the list of beaches on our Caribbean and Bermuda Sea Glass for sea glass links page.

For more information on finding an good unexplored sea glass beach, go to our page Find Sea Glass open in new window for sea glass links.

Unlimited amount of sea glass in Aruba
by: Steve R

We t to sea glass island in aruba. Its about a three minute dingy ride or kayak from the main island. Its towards the south end of Aruba.

The island is covered by a foot deep in sea glass! Lots of coral too but move it aside and undernesth is sea glass too.

I didnt believe the videos i saw but they were true. I took home about 30lbs i collected in an hours (and i was being selective).

Grand Anse Beach
by: SandyBeachBum

If you walk down to the far end of the beach - to the right when looking at the water, there is a 30 foot area that has LOADS AND LOADS of sea glass. The rest of the beach has bits and pieces here and there (found a nice blue one just past the pier) but the real mother lode is at the far end. I have two pics of what I collected on two trips down to that end of the beach but I have no idea how to add them here.

Pandy Beach, Port Louis, Grenada

Pandy Beach near St. George’s, Port Louis, Grenada - Caribbean

April 2018

VERY concentrated sea glass beach, walk two inches and you’ll find something.

You have to hunt for good pieces, ones that aren’t sharp.

You can find gorgeous well rounded and frosted pieces pretty easily. Beautiful tiny shells as well.

This is the only beach I’ve been to in Grenada that has such a concentration of sea glass.

There is another beach near the airport and University that has a large concentration of conch shells, for anyone interested. Not sure the name of that beach, but it’s on the south side of the airport with a view of the University and it has a road you can drive up to it.

You can drive up to the beach, very accessible. Turn at the stoplight at the main road.

Junkanoo Beach - There are a few beaches on Nassau (New Providence Island) that are near Arawak cay.

I think that its called Junkanoo beach.

It's a series of small beaches separated by piers, and there is a ton of glass there!

Mostly clear/white, green, lime and green, some blue pieces, even a purple piece or 2.

My wife and I picked up about 40 very good pieces in a few hours of walking!
